THREE of Port Kembla's leading sportsmen will put something back into the community as guest speakers at a fundraising dinner-auction on St Valentine's Day.

Port surfer Michael Lowe, cricketer Steve Nikitaras and rugby league player John Cross will reveal their sporting experiences to the crowd at Port Kembla Surf Life Saving Club's annual fundraiser, at Port Kembla Leagues Club on Saturday, February 14.

The master-of-ceremonies will be Brian Love, while Rikki Organ and Quini will provide the musical entertainment.

Among the items to be auctioned will be a Penrith Panthers shirt autographed by all players in the 2003 National Rugby League premiership-winning team, a St George Illawarra shirt autographed by six international Dragons, board shorts signed by Lowe and former world champion Mark Occhilupo, and a cricket shirt signed by the NSW Pura Cup team.

Last year the dinner-auction raised $7000 and attracted 320 people.

Tickets are still available for this year's function, but 260 have already been sold.
