? Maryland Multipurpose Centre will host domestic violence awareness activities for White Ribbon Day. The event is from 10.20am to 2.30pm and will include trivia, guest speakers, live music and lunch at 207 Maryland Drive, Maryland. Cost is $5 for lunch. Phone 4955 8111.

? The series final of Packed to The Rafters will screen at 8.30pm on Prime. Bernard Curry, pictured, guest stars.

? The launch of the upcoming Civic Precinct Newcastle subscriber season Inspirations 2009 will take place at 11am at the Civic Theatre. The launch will feature a range of Newcastle performers and will preview what's in store for the new season. For more information call 4974 2181.

? Check out the film Newcastle in cinemas now. The surf movie features Barry Otto, pictured, and Shane Jacobson of Kenny fame, and of course picturesque Hunter scenery.
