ALMOST 400 delegates representing Rotary Clubs across a vast area of NSW from Swansea and Nelson Bay to Bourke and Cobar are enjoying the hospitality of Newcastle as they come together for this year's District 9670 Conference. Under the theme "Rotary Shares", the delegates will spend the weekend discussing Rotary community projects, hearing from guest speakers (including former NSW Governor Rear Admiral Peter Sinclair, Australian cricket legend Max Walker and Newcastle-based prostate cancer researcher Professor Jim Denham) and enjoying social fellowship. While much of the conference business is happening at Newcastle's City Hall, last night delegates attended a "friendship function" at the Harbourview Function Centre.
