THE 2008 National Young Leaders Conference gave students from all over Australia including six from Clarence Town Public School the opportunity to listen to a wide variety of very inspirational guest speakers.

The guest speakers included professionals such as authors and even kayak adventurers.

The six Stage 3 Clarence Town students Tom Morris, Kyah Skavinski, Erin Saunders, Annemieke Boland, Jack Salter and Lewis Keating listened to people talk about their dreams and aspirations, what they have accomplished and how they went about it.

The Clarence Town students especially liked a talk by two Australian adventurers who kayaked from Australia to New Zealand in 2007. They thought the men, James Castrission and Justin Jones, were very brave and showed a lot of determination to achieve their goals.
