'bomber' Guest At Thirroul

THIRROUL RLFC will hold a sports lunch at Thirroul Bowling, Leagues and Recreation Club next Friday, July 18.

Former New Zealand rugby league international and sports commentator Gary Freeman will be master of ceremonies.

Special guests are former Australia internationals John Peard and Shaun Timmins and former member of the Australian SAS and author of the best-seller Warrior Brothers, Keith Fennell.

Peard is nicknamed "Bomber" as he is generally regarded as the player who first used the bomb as the up-and-under became known.

Cost is $60 per person and includes a two-course meal, drinks, guest speakers, raffles and auctions.

Doors open at 2pm and lunch will be served at 2.30pm.

Tickets are available from the club or at the door.
